Hi, I am Olena Milirud. Welcome! I am so thrilled you’re here!

My journey to becoming a doula was more than a career choice — it felt like a calling. Sudden, exciting, and profoundly meaningful. I've always felt a deep, instinctual pull to support and empower women. Being an empath my whole life brought me here today. My own birth and postpartum experiences have been deeply transformative, eye-opening, and life-altering, so I'm here to support you through one of life's most profound experiences.

I am blessed with a caring husband, a spirited toddler son, and a wild cat who adds a touch of mischief to our household. Together, we find joy in exploring the world around us, whether a peaceful walk in the woods or an exhilarating snowboarding adventure.

I was born and raised in the beautiful country of Ukraine. For the past ten years, I have called Washington State my home, captivated by its mesmerizing mountains and lakes. I am fluent in English, Ukrainian, and Russian, allowing me to connect with a diverse community and support families from various backgrounds during their pregnancy, birth, and postpartum journeys.

Thank you for considering me to be a part of this special chapter in your life.

With warmth and care,

Your doula for life.

What I bring to each birth:

  • Professional network. Being part of Seattle Birth Co., you will have access to the wealth of knowledge and experience from other doulas in the collective for any unexpected situations.

  • A serene presence and a non-judgmental attitude towards clients and their birth choices.

  • Patience. Staying present and allowing the birth process to unfold naturally, without pressure or time constraints.

  • A fresh perspective. Approaching each client with an open mind to fully understand the current situation.

  • Confidence. Supporting families' natural ability to birth and parent, encouraging them to trust their instincts throughout pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum.

  • Non-interference. Helping clients to navigate their birth process while preparing them for various possibilities, without attempting to control the outcome.

  • Acceptance. Acknowledging and embracing the outcome of each birth, even when things deviate from the plan.
